Health companies specializing in musculoskeletal (MSK) care offer comprehensive, technology-driven solutions aimed at improving patient outcomes for conditions affecting muscles, bones, and joints. These platforms leverage cutting-edge tools such as virtual physical therapy, telemedicine consultations, and personalized exercise programs guided by artificial intelligence (AI) to deliver convenient, evidence-based interventions.
These services help patients manage chronic pain, recover from injuries, and avoid surgical interventions. They can also help companies save money on health care. It is these complementary benefits that make virtual MSK compelling.
Over the next decade there is likely to be shake out and consolidation. There are at least 9 companies focused on this space, and the oldest firms - Omada and Dario - were founded in 2011. The newest - Vori - was founded in 2020. Service offerings range from self-service programs to personal meetings with doctors and physical therapists.
Most of these companies rely on a B2B2C model -- selling to health care providers and corporations directly and positioning their services as free to consumers. In order to rise above the crowd and gain market share, B2B sales and B2C activation will increasingly depend on successful content strategies, which are the start of any successful user experience for a digital business.
